ReconEng successfully completed design, development and on-site commissioning of an automated Nickel drilling station at Minara Resources, WA. System was designed for drilling and collection of Ni shavings for batch content analysis and replaced previous labour-intensive manual drilling. It has a fully automatic drill and feed operation with feeder capacity of 250 briquettes as well as an additional semi-auto drill with incline feeder. It achieves 10 second drill and feed time and with twin drills in full operation represents 800% productivity improvement with also significantly reduced task labour requirements.

ReconEng successfully completes design, development and production line commissioning of an automatic tapping machine at Assa Abloy, Melbourne site. System was designed for continuous production line tapping of press metal castings. It features an incline loader which continually feeds parts for tapping done by a multi-spindle head. It is also designed to be able to tap on the same machine multiple hole configurations found on different parts.
